As I have said time and time again, a good yard will give you more than one option as far as what you can get out of it is concerned. This yard, for example gives you the opportunity to sit out in the mooring and have some coffee by yourself, yet at the same time you could have a bunch of friends over for a dinner party. The courtyard layout is lovely, with a variety of little trees and bushes. The surrounding lawn is also very well kept and manicured, with some nice trees around the fence line. I really like the stonework on the patio itself.

A stream in your backyard landscape is a game changer in my opinion. I find that not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but the sounds coming form it make your yard into an entirely different place. This would be a great yard to sit out with family for a picnic, while listening to the bubbling creek moving through the property. The rock work here is very well done, and it actually looks like it is a naturally occurring stream of rocks. The trees and bushes are cut back appropriately so that they do not overshadow the stream. This is a lovely spot.

Rock gardens are a really great way to make the most of your yard in a manner that is fairly low maintenance. You do not have to do any pruning and such with rock gardens, but you may have to kills some weeds and grasses the sprout up between the rocks from time to time. I love waterfalls in yards because it really changes the energy of the landscape in a big way. There is something quite ambient about listening to water trickle while you are meditating in the back yard, or just sitting with friends enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

Here we have a nice rock garden surrounding this long and awesome pool, and given the fact that it looks like it is in a desert climate makes this a highly desirable pool to have on ones property. Now, if you are going to install a pool in your backyard landscape, a long one like this is a good idea if you are trying to get the most out of your space as you can. Even though it is a bit narrower, there is a long stretch of pool here so there is still ample room to swim, as well as an n ice stretch to do laps.

This landscape design is a really nice mix of rocks and plants. I love rock gardens on their own, but what I really love is when you can have both. It is trickier than it looks, though, because you want to be sure that you have a good balance of elements in the design, rather than having too much of one thing. For example, if there were too many rocks, then it would look more like some weeds had crept up among them. In like manner if there were too many plants then having any rocks at all would be pointless because they would not really be visible.

This is a great combination of well kept grass, stonework, and a nice garden. What I love about stairways in a backyard design is that it makes the yard feel like there is room to explore. Even if the yard is a smaller one, if you are able to incorporate steps into your garden area, then you will be adding a whole new level, liyterally, to your yard and garden. In addition to how cool those steps are, the bushes and trees are very lovely. There is a nice spread of purple, white and dark red. They did some good work here.

This is a nice little backyard patio and landscape that works well for the smaller family. I really like that little palm tree at the transition spot from the patio to the grass, as I feel like it adds a nice level of texture to the yard’s aesthetic. It is almost like it is a bridge between the two, especially because the tree is resting in some nice stonework. The other tree on the side next to the fence is also nice, and the plants scattered about are lovely colors. You could easily use this yard for small dinner parties, and during the summer you would have plenty of room to set out a little wading pool for the kids.

This levels garden is very cool because it is visually layers, albeit very subtly. There are a nice spread of flowers and bushes. Which I of course really appreciate. We have red, white and different shades of green in the flowers and bushes, as well as a nice moat of grass separating each section. This means that you could lay out a blanket and have a little picnic if you wanted to. It is nice to have a yard that is at once visually pleasing but at the same time has some nice utility to it. This yard fits that bill.

Here we have a nice back patio with some great stonework surrounding a nice garden of bushes and little trees. This looks like more of a desert climate, and what is nice is that even if you live in a climate such as this one you can have a nice array of trees and bushes in your garden, with some nice colors to boot. The patio furniture is also really nice, and it looks appropriate for four people to sit down and enjoy themselves in the cooler summer evenings. The little grill on the side indicates that there is ample space for small dinner parties with a couple of friends.

I love this courtyard because it is actually pretty simple, yet at the same time the simple elements they have here have come together to make a perfect little space. The gravel paths are great, and add a nice balance to the starker, earthy colors. The bark dust was a smart addition because you greatly reduce the amount of upkeep you are going to need to do when you use bark dust in the yard. I also love the stone work on the little island with the darker soil. The trees and grass are also beautiful. There is a lot to like here.
