If you have the resources to build a pond on your property, then that is something really special. The fact that this pond also has a fountain is the cherry on the sundae. Now, in addition to the beautiful pond, the surrounding landscape is also quite magical. We have some beautiful, manicured grass, and we also have some lovely trees. This cluster of trees creates a nice, shady area that can be great for family picnics. I imagine that this pond would also be a favorite spot for ducks and fish, which would really make it even cooler than before.

This is a great backyard waterfall. If you are thinking about putting in a waterfall or fountain, then make sure you take a cue from this one and try and integrate as much as you can with the natural surroundings. In the case of this little waterfall we have a lovely rock garden and creeping bushes running on either side of it. What this does is create a sense of the natural world, not to mention a nice contrast between green and gray. When you design your landscape elements, make sure that you have a layered color aesthetic. It does wonders for the yard.

A stream in your backyard landscape is a game changer in my opinion. I find that not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but the sounds coming form it make your yard into an entirely different place. This would be a great yard to sit out with family for a picnic, while listening to the bubbling creek moving through the property. The rock work here is very well done, and it actually looks like it is a naturally occurring stream of rocks. The trees and bushes are cut back appropriately so that they do not overshadow the stream. This is a lovely spot.

This is a lovely patio with a very nice water fountain that is surrounded by an awesome garden of plants, bushes and trees. I really like the hanging plant to the side of the fountain, and the leaves that have grown out of the pot and are hanging below it really adds a lush sense to the design. I might add a couple of bits of patio furniture in this area just because it would seem like sitting out next to this fountain could be really relaxing for you and your partner or friends when enjoying some wine and dessert in the evening.

Rock gardens are a really great way to make the most of your yard in a manner that is fairly low maintenance. You do not have to do any pruning and such with rock gardens, but you may have to kills some weeds and grasses the sprout up between the rocks from time to time. I love waterfalls in yards because it really changes the energy of the landscape in a big way. There is something quite ambient about listening to water trickle while you are meditating in the back yard, or just sitting with friends enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

One of the nice things about a backyard landscape with a view is that you may not need to have as many design elements simply because the view is such a standout element to the whole area. For example, this lake is such a great thing to look out on, why would you want to have a bunch of other elements that could distract from it? If this were looking out on a massive swathe of desert hills, though, you may find yourself wanting to do more with your backyard so it balances the theoretical desolation of a desert setting.

There are three main elements that I love about this backyard landscaping design and if you are able to mimic nay of them, then you will have a good thing going. The first thing I like so much is the patio and furniture. It is spacious, and the furniture is simple and prefect for summer. The covering of the patio is also great because it can help when the weather is either rainy, or even when you need shade during those hotter summer months. Finally, the pool is very nice, and I like that it has some good fencing around it. This helps if you have small children that you want to be sure will be supervised at the pool.

This is a really great backyard area, with a lot of things to like. First of all, the deck is totally cool, and the fountain only serves to reinforce this. The plants around the fountain are a nice touch because they add a little more flora to this part of the landscape design. The swimming pool is really nice too, and the fact that this whole spot is surrounded by trees and bushes makes this whole space feel really lush with plant life. The effect it creates is that the pool is almost like a little natural body of water that you have just found in the woods.

I really love this backyard landscape design because it is just so unpretentious and lovely. You can forget what a good old fashioned family backyard landscape can look like, so this is refreshing to see. Now, there are three main elements that I really like here. The first is the grass. They have let it grow a bit so that it looks a little more rustic. The trees and bushes are unique and varied, and the little fountain brings everything together. If you are designing a new yard and are not sure what to do with the space you have, then you would not be remiss to go with this sort of design.

This patio fountain is very cool and unique, and there are some geometrical things that it does for this patio that are very cool. The fountain acts as a compass for the rest of the space, and makes the whole patio actually feel a bit larger do to its angular construction, the bushes placed symmetrically around the fountain also help magnify this effect while also adding some nice foliage to the patio. I like the greenery that is spread throughout the patio as well, and think that it gives everything a symmetrical, geometrical, and earthy feel. This is a very cool porch.
