Vinegar is not only very usable in terms of cooking, mixing salads and preparations of dishes. The solution is also a very effective agent in cleaning and removing bacteria in the various parts of the home.
Here are ways to use it for cleaning and disinfecting:
1. Eliminating Discoloration in Toilet Bowls
Sometimes, some impurities in the water causes the toilet bowl to have stains that form like a ring. To remove it, shut off the hose that feeds water to its tank and flush as much water as possible. Once the water level is low and the stains are no longer submerged in water, spray an ample amount of vinegar into it with a little sprinkle of borax after. Then, scrub the discoloration with drywall sandpaper or a tile brush.
2. Removing Spots in Glass Windows
Spots in glass windows are such a hassle sometimes because it takes too long to scrub it off with an ordinary cleaning soap and water. But with vinegar in the mix, this can be taken cared off in no time. All you have to do is half fill a spray bottle with water. Next, pour vinegar to it until it fills the other half of the container. After that, spray the mixture into the glass especially where the spots are located and wipe it dry using a cleaning cloth.
3. Disinfecting the Sink
The sink can be a good area for bacteria to develop because of the remnants left over by food and other things we drain in there. Thus, it is important to disinfect it from time to time. To do it, just empty a 1/2 cup of baking soda in the drain. Follow it up with a 1/2 cup of vinegar. The combination of the two will result to a foam that will automatically clean and remove the bacteria deposits in your drain. Do this at least once or twice a month.
